Track Record

Every quarter, in public.

Each quarter, we lock a list of our top-scored stocks before the market opens. When the quarter ends, you see how it did.

How it works

The same rules, every quarter.

  1. 1

    First day, early morning

We choose every US stock worth $300M or more with a MonkScore of 90 or more. Subscribers see the list.

  2. 2

    First day, before 9:30

We publish the list's fingerprint. After that, we cannot change the list.

  3. 3

    First trading day, 9:30

The portfolio starts at each stock's opening price.

  4. 4

    Last trading day, 16:00

The portfolio ends at each stock's closing price.

  5. 5

First day of the next quarter

We publish the list and its result. You can check the list against its fingerprint.

All times are New York time. If the first day is a market holiday, the portfolio starts at the next open. Full rules ↗

Results

How each list did.

One row per quarter. Return is the average of the list's stocks, before costs. Excess is that return minus the S&P 500 equal-weight.

No quarter has closed yet. The first result comes on January 1, 2027.

The Q4 2026 list is sealed.

How you can check us

You do not have to believe us.

Every number comes from public files. Each check takes a few minutes.

  1. 1

The list came before the quarter.

Its fingerprint was public before the market opened. Change one letter of the list, and the fingerprint no longer matches.

  2. 2

    The date is real.

Each fingerprint is stamped in the Bitcoin blockchain. Nobody can change that stamp, including us.

Check the date on GitHub ↗
  3. 3

    Bad quarters stay.

We only add results. Public archives keep copies of every file, so a deleted quarter would show.

  4. 4

    You can redo the math.

Every price is public. One script recalculates every return and tells you if a number is wrong.

Read it with care

What this record cannot tell you.

A few quarters prove little.

One quarter is mostly luck. Judge the trend over years.

Real returns are lower.

The record ignores trading costs and taxes. Buying every stock in equal amounts is also hard.

It is not advice.

It shows how one rating did. It does not tell you what to buy.

I don't trust backtests. They are made with hindsight, so they always look good. That is why this record only shows lists we locked before the market opened.
